Take Me Out – TV Show

Another TV show request:

Hi Jason,

I wonder if you can help. I work for the hit ITV1 dating show ‘Take Me Out’ in the UK, which is coming back for its 6th series. We are looking for single men who are also pole performers and are reaching out to as many people as possible to forward on the message.

The show has been a real success in the past, along with giving our contestants the opportunity to meet new people and have some fun, they might also potentially find themselves a great date.

If there is any way you might be able to help us spread this message, it would be greatly appreciated. Whether it be at an event, a mailout or if you have anyone in mind who would be great on the show. I’ve attached a copy of our poster with all the info.

Thank you for your help.

Kindest regards,

Darren

Mr Pole Dance – Australia

Unforutunately, this had slipped me by before now, but there is a Mr Pole Dance competition happening very soon:

The inaugural Mr Pole Dance Championships will be held at The Factory Theatre, Sydney Australia, on May 31st 2013. It is open to international dancers as well as Australian dancers. Application form is now on the “contestants” page, woo freakin hoo, so exciting!

For more information, it’s here:
www.mrpoledance.com.au

Good luck to you all!

Timber Brown

Another very interesting video from a very strong and skilled male performer ‘pole artist’. He’s 25, and has been doing pole for 5 years already!
The first 90 seconds are him introducing himself (as part of an application for a competition). The rest of the routine is a bit distant (from the camera position), but still a great show.

Tango on the Chinese Pole – by Cirque de Demain – "Vertical Tango"

I’ve been passed through a really interesting routine, by Cirque de Demain, featuring both a male and female performer on a Chinese Pole, dancing to Tango, and utilising the Chinese Pole at the same time!

Certainly some very high strength moves in there (particularly from the guy).. the woman certainly isn’t weak herself though!

This is a great example of the different style performing on a Chinese Pole can bring to the show.

Suzie Q and Toby J, mixed double routine

I realise that I haven’t linked to these guys before, but in the following video you can see a great mixed couple performance of Suzie Q & Toby J:

Suzie Q is already an internationally famous pole dancer/performer I’ve been fortunate to meet and photograph on a few occasions during her visits to the UK.

As far as I understand, Toby J has a background in Gymnastics/Acrobatics, and comparatively recently got into pole performing alongside Suzie Q.

They certainly seem to be a very well matched couple, really working to raise the bar on mixed double performances and expanding the range of what double’s have been able to achieve in the past.

From what I’ve seen, their routines are always very well choreographed, carefully rehearsed, and an excellent showcase of their talents.

I’m sure we’ll continue to see great things from this pair in the future, and I look forward to seeing how they progress.

You can also subscribe to Suzie Q’s YouTube channel directly to see more.
